ROMAN CATHOLIC TOURNAMENT SOUTH ISLAND TITLE WON BY DUNEDIN (New Zealand Press Association) DUNEDIN, April 11. ' A far superior set of backs enabled the Dunedin club to win the final of the ninth annual tournament of the South Island Roman Catholic Rugby Football Cluba* Association at Carisbrook today. Dimedin won the last match of the tournament against St. Mary’s (Gore) by 19 points to 6. For Dunedin, J. Dunne scored four tries and P. Murray one try, and P. Mcllroy converted two tries. M. Monaghan scored a try for Gore, and J. Walsh kicked a penalty goal. Results of other matches were:—Ashburton Celtic 6, St. Mary’s (Hokitika) 3; St. Mary’s (Gore) 9; Invercargill Marist 6; Timaru Celtic 8. Nelson Celtic 0; Christchurch Marist 6, Blenheim Marist 3; Greymouth Marist 5, Ashburton Celtiq 3.
