Fair Chance, Redcraze, Hot Drop, Cardigan and Estimate, which performed with distinction at Ellerslie during the Easter holiday week-end, will clash at weight-for-age in the Great Northern Challenge Stakes on the third day of the Auckland Racing Club’s autumn meeting tomorrow. A most interesting race should result.
There were 14 horses in the first leg of the double, the Oliver Nicholson Handicap, run over a mile and three furlongs for £lBOO, and 10 in the second leg, the Bledisloe Handicap, when the acceptances were taken tonight.
