The weather forecast, issued at 9 p.m. by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, for the 27 hours after the time of issue, if Situation.—A depression south-east of the country is moving away, and an anti-cyclone is advancing eastwards across the central Tasman Sea. Forecast:— Canterbury.—Moderate winds, tending north-easterly; weataer fair to cloudy; cool temperatures. Nelson and the West Coast.—Moderate w’nds from an easterly quarter; weather fair to fine; moderate to mild day temperatures. Marlborough.—Moderating southerly winds; occasional showers at first, but weather clearing during the morping; cool temperatures. Outlook: Fair weather. CHRISTCHURCH WEATHER The day in Christchurch yesterday was fine but cloudy, win a moderate northwest wind. At midnight, the sky was cloudy, and a moderate south-west wind was blowing.
