MILK

Sit,—Having visited a friend in the country, we were given a bottle of milk to take home. The following day we compared it with a bottle we had from the city supply. This was not taken from one particular cow, but from a herd of from 50 to 60 cows. I measured two and a half inches of rich cream on the top of one. compared with one ana three-quarter inches—call it what you like, anything but cream, hardly discernible from the rest of the bottle. How much longer have we to put up with this robbery? Can’t the health authorities or the Government do something in the matter before we get chalk and water as a substitute?—Yours, etc., VICTIM.
