OBITUARY

MISS MAUD HOSSACK Miss Maud Hossack died in Christchurch last week, aged 75 years. Coming to Christchurch in 1917, Miss Hossack, for 35 years, until the time of her retirement about two years ago, served the Seventh-day Adventist churches in Christchurch as a colporteur evangelist. Pastor W. W. Petrie, president of the South Island Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, and Pastor A. S. Herbert, pastor to the hospitals and aged, conducted the funeral services yesterday. Both referred to her long service to the church’s book and Bible house. The New Zealand-wide conference of the publishing department of the Adventist Church, at present being held in Christchurch was adjourned as a mark of respect and all 50 delegates attended the funeral services.
