RISING FAST’S FORM
FINAL GALLOP BEFORE LEAVING MELBOURNE (N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) (Rec. 10 pan.) MELBOURNE, April 4; Rising Fast, which will leave for Sydney by air tonight, is in great order for his northern campaign. Mentone trackmen said today that Rising Fast bed improved out of sight since
his Carbine Stakes win. "He looks like the Rising Fast we knew in the spring,” they added. The champion, whose main mission is the Sydney Cup, was eager to gallop at Mentone today. Ridden by R. Cameron, he was 2sec outside “evens” over a mile and 20 yards. He worked in a righthanded direction, next to the rails. It took Cameron nearly a furlong and a half to stop Rising Fast after he passed the post.
