William Redmond Guthrie, aged 23, a storeman, and George James Peter Cosgrove, aged 29, a labourer (Mr H. W. Hunter), were further remanded on renewed bail to April 7 on a charge that on March 26 they assaulted Raymond Augustus Blythe with intent to rob him.

Raymond Stewart Hillgrove, aged 21, a labourer (Mr B. J. Drake), was remanded to April 7 on a charge that on April 1, he unlawfully converted to his own use a motor-car, valued at £5OO. the property of some person unknown. He was allowed bail in his own recomiisance of £5O and one surety of £lOO on condition that he reports daily to the police. George Vernon Dickinson, aged 26, a labourer (Mr B. McClelland), was remanded to May 2 on a charge that He assaulted Douglas Arthur Edward George Cooper on March 28. He was allowed bail in his own recognisance of £5O and ‘bne surety ot £5O.

Thomas Andrew Richard James, aged 21, a truck driver (Mr J. E. Millar), was remanded on bail to April 18 on a charge that he drove a motor-cycle in Moorhouse avenue on April 2 while he was under the influence of drink.

Martin John Howard, aged 23, a drainlayer, was remanded on bail to April 18 on a charge that he drove a motor-truck in Selwyn street on April 2 while he was under the influence of drink.

A 17-year-old youth, whose name was ordered not to be published meantime, was remanded on bail to April 7 on a charge-4hfrt he obtained £lO by a false pretence at Wellington on January 25.
