' Russia has accused Sir Winston Churchill of having renounced the . proposals he made in IMH for a two* Power meeting between Britain and the Soviet Union. The accusation was made by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which r published the text of letters exchanged between Sir Winston Churchill and Mr Molotov last year On a possible highlevel conference. Sir Winston Churchill earlier this week said he twice communicated . with Mr Molotov in July, IBM, on • ! two-Power meeting in a neutral cap- : ital, but his suggestion had been superseded by a Russian Note suggesting an all-European conference on s collective security. t The Soviet Foreign Ministery said s it was clear from the exchange of letters that Sir Winston Churchill t "himself renounced the proposals he s had made.’* It added that after Sir Winston Churchill “renounced" the two-Power meeting, the British Government also refused to participate in an allEuropean conference.
