EVERY person and company, whether or not a taxpayer, being the owner of land in New Zealand within the meaning of the Land and Income Tax Act, 1954, and Regulations thereunder, is hereby required to furnish on or before April 7, 1955, in the prescribed form, a return of such land as at 12 noon on March 31, 1955, where the total unimproved value, assessed under the Valuation of Land Act, 1951, exceeds £3OOO. Returns are to be addressed to the District Commissioner of Taxes of the District Office of the Taxes Division of the Inland Revenue Department, where the taxpayer’s records are filed. Any person failing to furnish a return at the prescribed time is liable to a penalty up to £lOO.
