MAGISTRATE’S COURT George Ellington, a labourer, aged 47, was charged before Messrs W. T. Lester and A. B. P. Large, Justices of the Peace, in the Lyttelton Magistrate’s Court yesterday with driving a motor-vehicle while under the influence of drink or drugs to such an extent as to be incapable of proper control. On the application of SeniorSergeant J. L. Graham he was remanded to appear at Christchurch on March 3. Meczslam Antczak, a hotel worker and seaman, was remanded to appear at Christchurch on March 3 on a charge of being a prohibited immigrant.
