The Hon. Mr Justice Adams will leave today for Greymouth where he will preside at sittings of the Supreme Court. He will go from there to Nelson and then to Blenheim for sittings of the Supreme Court in each place, and will return to Christchurch in about three weeks. Mr Justice Shorland was sworn in by Mr Justice Finlay yesterday as a permanent Judge of the Supreme Court Mr Justice Shorland was appointed a temporary Judge last October. Mr Trevor Henry, an Auckland barrister and solicitor, will be sworn in today as a temporary Judge.—(P.A.) Cr. V. G. Spiller was elected deputyMayor of Riccartori at a meeting of the Riccarton Borough Council. Bu* P. O. Evans was elected chairman of the finance and by-laws committee.
