COMBINED SERVICES’ MEETING (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON. February 16. Favoured by good conditions, competitors at the New Zealand combined services’ small arms championship at Trentham today did some excellent shooting. Five competitors shared first prize in the 500 yards application shoot of the service rifle B series. AH five shot possibles. Successful competitors during the day included Sergeant J. S. Wooster (Burnham) and Petty Officer B. Rawle (Navy), who were members of the Ne w Zealand team at Bisley in 1953; Private I. R. Larsen (Army), probably the most consistent shot at the meeting; Corporal C. G. Robertson (Whenuapai), and Staff Sergeant I. G. Campbell (Army). Results were:— Match No. 12. 300 yards application, S.R. (B) series.—Petty Officer B. Rawle (Navy), 49; Sergeant J. S. Wooster (Army), 48; Flight Sergeant D. J.
