heard by the ILand Valuation Court The decisions of the Court are final, and the onus of proof rests on the objector. If the owner is not satisfied with the valuation fixed he may, within 14 days, require the capital value to be reduced to a specified amount or, if the Valuer-General declines to make that reduction, that the land shall be acquired by the Crown or sold at the sum specified in the notice. If the Valuer-General is of opinion that any land has been valued by the Land Valuation Court at less than its capital value, he may, within 14 days of the sealing of the order of the Court, give notice to the owner that he requires the owner to consent to the value being fixed at a specified sum. If the consent is not received within 30 days, the Valuer-General will recommend the Governor-Gen-eral to acquire the land on behalf of the Queen at the specified sum. The next revision of the valuation roll for Christchurch must be completed by February 1, 1960.
