MILITARY TRAINING
Sir, —It is about time New Zealanders went overseas for duty instead of just doing 10 weeks in camp, and then home to forget, and week-ends playing around the city, while young 18-year-olds from America and England train the hard way in action. Eighteen months’ national service overseas has been the rule since the last war.—Yours, etc., WAR-TIME SOLDIER. February 12, 1955.
