MILK TREATMENT HOUSE

RESTRICTION LIFTED BY BOARD

The present restriction on the treatment of milk by Wright’s Metropolitan Milk Company has been removed by the Christchurch Metropolitan Milk Board. The motion giving effect to this decision was passed without dissent yesterday by the board after its mover. Mr J. Mathison. M.P., had explained it. The motion, which makes the decision retrospective to July 1, 1954, read as follows: “Conditionally upon the agreement made by the two producer companies in respect to the rationalisation of the city milk supply being observed, the present restriction on treatment be cancelled, and the treatment licence be extended to cover the Metronolitan Milk Company’s trade according to the agreement on rationalisation.”
