NIXONS VISIT MEXICO

PUERTO RICANS HELD BY POLICE (N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) MEXICO CITY, February 12. Mexican authorities were reported today to have arrested 14 or more Puerto Rican Nationalists in a move to protect the United tSates Vice-President (Mr Richard Nixon) and Mrs Nixon on their visit to Mexico. Today the Nixons mingled freely with Mexican crowds. Police declined to confirm the reported arrests. But Puerto Rican sources in Mexico City told reporters that several men and at least one woman were being held. The University Student Federation said immigration officials also took several Perto Rican students into custody.
