£300 STOLEN FROM FARM HOUSE

A theft of nearly £3OO in cash was reported to the police on Wednesday evening by Mr J. B. Lees, a poultry farmer, of 264 Hoon Hay road. Drawers, desks, and wardrobes had been searched, and the cash, which was taken from the wardrobe, was a sum which Mr Lees kept on hand to buy wheat for his poultry from local farmers. It was the takings from the sale of poultry and eggs.
