Boy Scout Hat
The famous boy scout hat, modelled on the bush hats worn during the South African War, is being ousted by the green beret. Questions to British scout troops have shown that most scouts prefer the cheaper and more serviceable beret. The Boy Scouts’ Association has said that all members under 15 may now wear it The original boy scout hat was duced by Lord Baden-Powell when he founded the movement in 1908.—London, January 24.
