(New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, January 23. Play in the New Zealand croquet championships was continued in Auckland on Saturday. Results were:— Championship Doubles.—First life, semifinal: C. Watkins and Mrs Watkins (Hastings) beat Mesdames L. Brown and J. Lockett (Wanganui), 26-9. Second life, third round: Mesdames P. Hawke and J. Wainwright (Hamilton) beat L. H Buchanan and Mrs Buchanan (Hastings), 26-24.

Open Championship.—Mrs H. O’Connell (Gisborne) beat Mrs R. Brown (Dannevirke), 26-4, 26-7; Mrs C. Watkins beat W. H. Kirk (Christchurch), 26-22, 26-21; C. Watkins beat H. Ford (Wellington), 26-5, 26-23; Mrs A. Nottle (Westport) beat T. Regan (Wellington), 26-3, 26-7; C. Wadsworth (Auckland) beat Mrs G. Metcalfe (Dunedin), 26-6, 26-15; G. Rowling (Nelson) beat Mrs S. Morgan (Eltham), 26-20, 26-9; Mrs R. Felter (Napier) beat Mrs C. Wadsworth (Auckland), 26-9, 2613; Miss I. Wainwright beat Mrs G. Molloy (Opotiki), 26-17, 26-14; Mrs F. Women’s Championship.—First round: Mrs G. Molloy beat Mrs J. Clarke (Auckland), 26-9, 26-15. Second round: Mrs H. Fenwick (Auckland) beat Mrs G. McKerrow (Te Awamutu), 26-9, 26-7; Mrs R. Reynolds (Christchurch) beat Mrs F. Baker (Auckland), 24-26, 27-17, 26-18.
