N.Z. REFRIGERATING DIVIDEND
A dividend of 10 per cent, on the paidup capital and a bonus of 21 per cent, are recommended by the directors of the New Zealand Refrigerating Company, Ltd.’ The accounts will be issued to shareholders shortly, according to advice received from the company yesterday. Last year total distribution Was 10 per cent., and the year before 7J per cent. The dividend is usually payable in February.
Wright, Stephenson.—lnterim dividends of 2J per cent, on the preference shares and 3 per cent, on the amount paid up on ordinary shares have been announced. Ex dividend date is January 25.—(P.A.)
STOCK SALES OXFORD
There was a very keen sale for all classes of lambs at Thursday’s fat lamb sale at Oxford. The yarding was approximately 1700. head, of which a very large proportion was of excellent quality. A feature of the sale was an outstanding line of 300 sold on account of F. H. Gilchrist, which realised 77s 7d for the tops, and highest price of the sale. The whole line averaged about 755.

STUDROLME JUNCTION (From Our Own Reporter}
WAIM ATE, January 20. Fat cattle receded in value by £3 to £4 a head on December rates at the stock sale at Studholme Junction. The demand for stores was poor, and sales made were at very reduced prices. There was a large entry in both sections. Store lambs, of which there was a medium yarding, sold well. Rape lambs met with a good demand. Values were:— •
Cattle.—Fat steers, best. £35 17s 6d to £4l 12s 6d; others, £2l 12s 6d to £33 2s 6d. Fat heifers, best, £27 12s 6d te £34 2s 6d; others, £22 12s 6d to £26 17s Gd. Fat cows, best, £lB 12s 6d to £23 2s 6d; others, down to £lO 17s 6d. Cows and runners, £l9 2s 6d to £3B 17s 6d. Bulls. £l7 5s to £24 ss. Two-year steers, to £2O 2s 6d. Yearling steers, £8 to £l3. Sheep.—Fat lambs, 56s Id to 64s 7d, fat wethers 63s Id to 78s Id, fat ewes 21s id to 25s Id, rape lambs (fat and forward) 51s to 555. others 36s to 495.
