INCLUSION IN CITY
STATE HOUSE AREAS The Local Government Commission will be asked by the City Council to consider a reorganisation scheme under the Local Government Commission Act providing for the inclusion in the city of all areas of State housing subdivisions lying to the north-west of the city and at present in the Waimairi County. The recommendation to seek the scheme was made by the finance committee of the council, which last night reported that the district supervisor of the Housing Construction Division had given an assurance that the department would give its full support to petitions for inclusion in the city of State housing areas before the Local Government Commission, particularly when such areas were reticulated with the city water supply or where such reticulation was sought.
