There were three defaults in the Ellesmere Cricket Sub-Association’s competition on Saturday. The teams which defaulted were R.N.Z.A.F. North Canterbury beat Ellesmere in • representative cricket match played at Lincoln on Friday and Saturday by 81 runs on the first tailings. North Canterbury. batting first, made 226 (Buckenham 22, Hamilton 14. Milner 28. Willis 37. Cherry 42, R. Capstick 40). Ellesmere made 195 (Chamberlain 24, Wallis 13», Pettit 13, Sheat 34, Heasley 34. Chamberlain 12, Bodie not out 21). Bowling for Rangiora, Thomson took six for 41, and Milner two for 25.
