CHARGE OF STEALING CAR
TWO YOUTHS REMANDED (New Zealand Press Association) PALMERSTON NORTH, Dec. 14. Two youths who escaped from the Levin Training Farm on December 5, and who were recaptured yesterday after they had driven a car into a steep gully near Pohangina, appeared in the Palmerston North Magistrate’s Court today, and were charged with the theft of a car, valued at £3OO, at Foxton on December 12. They were Robert Gerald Hirinl, aged 16, and Michael Joseph John O’Grady, aged 17. At the request of Senior-Detective J. G. Long, Mr L. M. Inglis, S.M., remanded both youths to appear on Fridav. Senior-Detective Long said that Hirini would be 17 years old by Fridav.
