GIRL FATALLY SHOT

RIFLE DISCHARGED BY BROTHER

(A'ew Zealand Press Association; WELLINGTON, November 8. A seven-year-old girl was accidentally killed by her brother at their home this evening. She was Patricia Ann Mears, daughter of Mr and Mrs J. Mears, of Maoribank.

The children were playing round the house when they found a .22 rifle ina bach at the rear of the house. The girl's nine-year-old brother, Phillip, accidentally pulled the trigger, and a bullet struck her in the jaw.
