Strange “Golf” Match Near Durban

(From a Reuter Correspondent) DURBAN South Africa’s strangest “four bail” golf match was played at Southbroom, on the Natal south coast, by two golfers, an archer using a bow and arrow, and an angler casting a sinker. The golfers were beaten on the last “putt.” The biggest gallery of the winter south coast season watched golfers Ronnie Burd, professional at Southbroom, and Miss J. Wahl, play against Burd’s brother, Denis, holder of a world distance casting record, and an archer, Vernon Adams. The final scores for the nine holes were: the archer 35, the caster 38, Burd 34, and Miss Wahl 40.
