NARROW ESCAPE FOR MRS ROOSEVELT (N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) HOLLYWOOD, Nov. 6. Mrs Eleanor Roosevelt narrowly escaped. injury on a film set yesterday when a studio light exploded, injuring the actor, Humphrey Bogart, and two technicians. / Mrs Roosevelt widow of the former President was visiting the set of "Desperate Hour” at Paramount Studios when the accident occurred. She was talking to Bogart, star of the film, at the time. Studio officials said Mrs Roosevelt was saved because her back was turned to the light. Bogart, facing the huge lamp, received gashes in his head and cuts on his face from glass splinters. Bogart and the two injured technicians were rushed to hospital, where their condition was reported not serious.
