(Rec. 7 p.m.) NEW YORK, Nov. 6. The admission of Japan to the United Nations would have a good effect both on that organisation and on Japan, the “New York Times” said today. “The Japanese point of view on some questions would certainly be valuable and it is probable that some of the tension between Japan and the Republic of Korea would be lessened if both could take up their areas of conflict in the United Nations as equally-pledged members to its aims,” the “New York Times” said. The newspaper noted that all postwar governments in Japan had given repeated assurances that Japan had abjured any further aggressive intent.
