INQUIRY SOUGHT BY EVATT
(Bee. U p.m.) CANBERRA, Nov. 5. Hie Leader of the Opposition (Dr. H. V. Evatt) said tonight that it was essential that a French judicial mission be sent to Australia to investigate the origin of the charges against Mrs Rose-Marie Ollier, the former French woman diplomat in Canberra. Dr. Evatt, who earlier had criticised Mrs outer’s arrest and her return to France without a hearing in Australia, said: “For the Mc-Carthy-like attack on this widowed French mother of two sons, the Menzies Government is primarily responsible.”
