1955 ROLLER HOCKEY CHAMPIONSHIPS
The 1955 New Zealand roller hockey championships will be held at Lower Hutt from January 6 to 8. There will be both men’s and women's teams from Christchurch, Greymouth, Whangarei, Auckland, Botorua, New Plymouth, Lower Hutt, Wellington and possibly Dunedin if the new rink there is opened in time. This will be followed by three test matches between Australia and New Zealand. The names of the Australian team are not available as yet but they are from Queensland and New South Wales. This is the first Australian and New Zealand roller hockey competition.
