Acting-Chief Postmaster. With Christmas’ approaching, it was time for motorists to give their cars • ‘spring clean” ready for the holiday season, said the chief traffic officer of Transport Department in Christchurch (Mr E. Wilson) yesterday. Motorists should not leave this too late and then put it off altogether, should have their vehicles Sr*?; I** 1 ** for mechanical fitness, with attention to brakes, tyres, and lights, said Mr Wilson.
