CHORAL FESTIVAL AT BURNHAM
SIX CHOIRS TO SING A choral festival will fee W W Burnham Military Cara theatre Rd* evening by the adult education depart, ment of Canterbury University College. , Six choirs—the Burnham, Tem-pleton-Hornby Ladies’, Dunupdel, and Motukarara Choirs, the Rakafa Musical Group, and the Lincoln Choral Grow* —which sang at a festival at Dunsand® last month, will take part. The entire programme given at Dunsandel will be repeated. Each of the choirs was trained by the department’s tutor in music (Mr LloYd Peach), who has arranged this evening’s festival in conjunction with the Burnham Ratepayers’ Aa*qrtatk» and the Burnham Women s Institute. The programme will comprise 32 items, including brackets of four or five works by each of the choirs, and four massed works. The audience'will join in one of the massed works. Proceeds from the festival will go to the Burnham Military Camp Choir, which was formed this year.
