BRITAIN OUTCLASSES AUSTRALIA WORLD CUP SERIES (NJZ. Press Association—Copyright) PARIS, October 31. Britain made a good start to the World Rugby League Cup series today when they beat Australia by 28 points, to 13 at Lyons after leading by 12 points to 5 at halftime. It was a surprise victory by the youthful British team, as the Australians in-' eluded many of the players who helped to* beat Britain in the last series in Australia. The Australians soon realised that their two months’ holiday from match football was their big trouble. were outpaced by the clever, well-knit British, side. For Britain tries were scored by Jackson (2), Brown (2), Kitchen, and Rose. Ledgard kicked five goals. Wells (2) and Kearney scored tries forw Australia, and Pidding kicked two goals.
