JUNIOR CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
Christchurch Man New President (Rec. 11 p.m.) MEXICO CITY. November 1. Mr Peter B. Watts, of Christchurch, was elected president of the International Junior Chamber of Commerce at its convention, which ended here on Friday. His was the only nomination. Edinburgh was selected as host city for the 1955 conference. Parachute Jumps in Arctic,—Two Russians, Pastoyev and Volovich, have made the first parachute jumps in the North Pole area, the Moscow Radio said tonight. They parachuted in to find suitable sites for scientists doing research in the area.—lxmdon, October 31.
