ST. MARY’S CONVENT OLD GIRLS’ ASSOCIATION

The biennial general meeting of St. Mary's Convent Old Girls' Association was held in the Mayfair Lounge on Wednesday and was preceded by buffer tea. The members were received by tile retiring president (Miss C. Bertram). The biennial report and balance-sheet were received. Miss Bertram thanked her committee for their loyal support. The secretary (Mrs R. McNabl detailed the arrangements made by the diamond jubilee committee for the celebration of the anniversary of the arrival of the Sisters of Mercy in the diocese of Christchurch 60 years ago. and all members present pledged their support of the forthcoming festivities. Appreciation was expressed of the services of Miss Bertram, who was president for the last six years. The following committee was elected:—Miss D. Blake (president), Mesdames R. McNab (secretary). K. Davey, M. Husband, J. O’Connell, Misses M. Donovan, M. Mahoney, P. Bennett, P. O’Sullivan, J. Byrne, M. Campbell, and A. Sutherland: auditor, Mr A. J. Wills.
