TUBELESS TYRES
SALE IN N.Z. LIKELY THIS YEAR (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, October 26. Tubeless tyres, with which a motorist can keep driving 200 miles or so with a puncture, should be on the market in New Zealand before Christmas, said Mr G. P. Proctor, general manager of a rubber manufacturing company, on his return from Britain today. “The method of manufacture results in the tyre resealing itself about the nail which causes the puncture,” he said, “though once the nail is extracted the tyre has to be resealed properly.”
