PLANE’S PROPELLERS DAMAGED

LANDING GEAR FAILS BEFORE FLIGHT

(New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, October 25. The retractable landing gear of a Douglas aircraft at Paraparaumu collapsed this morning while her engines were being tested in preparation for a flight to Auckland, and considerable damage was done to the propellers. The four passengers in the aircraft and the crew were uninjured. The four passengers were taken to Auckland on a flight 40 minutes later.
