Fields have thinned out for the final day of the Wellington Racing Club’s spring meeting at Trentham tomorrow, and some engaged will probably drop out, too. unless there is heavy rain overnight. The track is like flint, some light showers today making no impression, and several horses are feeling the strain. Declare (Pearce Handicap) and Sir William (Ruahine Hack Handicap) are two Riccarton gallopers on the list of doubtful starters, unless the going eases. The double will be the Pearce and Nalnai Handicaps.
