. t LONDON, October 3. The Western Powers found a new plan for rearming Germany in five weeks of swift moves after France killed the original European Army scheme on August 30. Here is the timetable of events: August 30: The French National Assembly rejected the European Defence Community scheme. September k Sir Winston Churchill summoned the British Cabinet which decided to call a conference to draw up a new plan. September 11: Mr Anthony Eden began ' a “lightning tour” of European capitals to sound out the six governments. September 17-18: Mr Dulles fiew to Bonn and London. September 28-October 3: NinePower conference in London negotiated full agreement.
