FUNERAL OF MR D. C. KIDD

SERVICE AT WAIMATE ON WEDNESDAY (From Our Own Reporter) WAIMATE, October 1. When the ashes of Mr D. C. Kidd arrive at Harew’ood on Tuesday they will be brought south for burial in the WaiCeme tery on Wednesday. Mr Kidd. Government member « Parliament for Waimate, died in South Africa last week. The funeral will be attended by the Prime Minister, Mr Holland. A service will be held at Knox Presbyterian Church at 1.30 p.m., after which the funeral cortege will proceed to the cemetery. The service at the church will be conducted by a former minister of Knox Church, the Rev. D. J. Griffiths, °f St. Ninian’s, Riccarton, Christchurch,. an old friend of Mr Kidd. Mr Kidds own minister, the Rev A G. Davidson, of Albury, will officiate at the graveside. Accommodation is expected to 1» fully taxed for the service at church.
