NEARLY 840 PASSENGERS CARRIED

During August, Tasman Empire Airways DC-6 aircraft carried more than 800 passengers to and from Christchurch airport Altogether 25 flights were made connecting Christchurch with Sydney and Melbourne. The highest total was reached .on the SydneyChristchurch service, which accounted

for 308 of the total passengers carried on all services. Figures for the month are as follows: Christchurch-Sydney: 273 on eight flights. Sydney-Christchurch: 308 on nine flights. Christchurch-Melbourne: 130 on four flights. Melbourne-Christchurch: 126 on four flights. Total passengers: 837 on 25 flights.
