MR ATTLEE IN WELLINGTON

(New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, September 14. Mr Attlee, Leader of the British Labour Party, and Mrs Attlee arrived in Wellington late this afternoon. They are staying at Government House, where they were guests of honour this evening at a dinner party given by the Governor-General (Sir Willoughby Norrie) and Lady Norrie. A heavy round of engagements for Mr and Mrs Attlee tomorrow will include a civic reception in the Town Hall at 12.15 p.m. Mr Attlee’s address at a State luncheon will be recorded and broadcast by all national stations at 6.40 pan. Mr and Mrs Attlee will continue their tour on Thursday morning, when they will leave by car for Rotorua.
