WELLINGTON JUNIOR TOURNAMENT

CHARLES AND HARVEY WIN FJNALS (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, Sept. 2. R. J. Charles (Wairarapa) -won the senior championship, and I. J. Harvey (Timaru) the -junior title in the Wellington provincial junior and boys* golf championships at Shandon today. Both, finals were played in high wind and rain. Harvey was not pressed to win the title for the third time in succession, but Charles had a gruelling match with H. W. Larmer (Gisborne). Results were:— Senior Championship.—Semi-finals: R. J. Charles (Whir arap a) beat J. W. Sehoot (Wellington), 5 and 4; H. W. Larmer (Gisborne) beat J. L. Whiteman (Feilding), 3 and 1. Final: Charles beat Larmer, 1 up. Junior Championship.—Semi-finals: I.
