MAGISTRATE’S COURT AT RANGIORA
On a charge of being found on the licensed premises of the Cust Hotel after hours, offenders were convicted and fined £1 at a sitting of the Magistrate’s Court, Rangiora, before Mr Raymond Ferner, S.M., yesterday. The offenders were Ivan Henry Wildbore, Lessel Adams, Violet Adams, Kenneth Fidler, Raymond J. Franzmann, Arnold Marshall, Cyril Mehrtens, Richard C. Odering, and Jacob Vandenburg. On a similar charge, Paul J. Queenan was fined £2. Traffic Offences For failing to give way to traffic on the right, Peter J. A. Page was fined. £2, Michael Pomare £5 (no warrant of fitness 10s). For travelling at more than 30 miles an hour through restricted area, Kenneth Austin was fined £2. For using a private car for taxi work Thomas C. Hopkins was fined £l. For operating a vehicle without a heavy traffic licence Johannes Quint was fined £3 3s 43. Judgment Summons Case On a judgment summons,' Mrs H. Pitama was ordered to pay W. K. Nicholson the sum of £4 2s forthwith, in default five days* imprisonment.
