TUNNEL ROAD
MR HOLLAND TO MEET DEPUTATION (From Our Parliamentary Reporter) WELLINGTON, September 1. The Prime Minister (Mr Holland) will meet a deputation on the tunnel road project in the Ministerial Rooms, Christchurch, at 10.30 a.m. on September 7. Mr H. R. Lake, member of Parliament for Lyttelton, will introduce the deputation, which will be led by the Mayor (Mr R. M. Macfarlane, M.P.). The deputation will include about 30 representatives of South Island local bodies and organisations.
