CHRISTCHURCH WEATHER The day in Christchurch yesterday was showery, with a fresh south-west wind and a maximum temperature of 48 degrees. At midnight, the sky was almost overcast, and a strong west-south-west wind was blowing. The temperature was 37.4 degrees. The barometer, at 30 inches (1015.9 millibars), was rising unsteadily.
