DAMAGED CARS SOLD AT AUCTION

EAGER AUCKLAND BUYERS (New 'Zealand Press Association) • AUCKLAND, August 30. Cars carried as deek cargo and damaged in a storm during the Waimarino’s voyage to Auckland Lyttelton a fortnight ago were sold at an Auckland auction attended by several hundred persons. Two of eight sihall cars brought £355 and £475, compared with, the list price of £590. The other six realised between £3BO and £465.. Two larger cars brought £750 and £6OO, compared with the list price of £985. In 25 minutes the 10 cars changed hands for a total of £4840. Their list price value was £6690.
