POST-GRADUATE ENGINEERING

NEW SCHOLARSHIP FOR RESEARCH A post-graduate scholarship, in engineering, worth £2OO in each of the next three years, has been given to Canterbury University College by Skellerup Industries Limited, Christchurch, to encourage fundamental Research which may nave present or future application in the development of engineering in New Zealand. The tenure of the scholarship will be one year in which the winner must undertake post-graduate studies at Canterbury University College, but the award is open to any students completing the bachelor of engineering degree and to graduates in engineering of any university within the British Commonwealth. The Canterbury College Council yesterday approved regulations for the scholarships and expressed its appreciation.
