CHILDREN’S LIBRARY AT FENDALTON
ASSISTANCE FROM CITY COUNCIL Assistance in the establishment and administration of a children’s library service at Fendalton will be given to the Waimairi County Council by the City Council on the understanding that the county meets all expenses involved through the city’s participation in the scheme. The City Council further decided last evening that the service be inaugurated when children’s libraries were set up in those suburban libraries within the ci, _X, area still requiring such service. ~ The county council asked whether the City Council would be prepared to establish a library service for children m the county under the guidance a x n< i. su P er vision of members of the staff of the Canterbury Public Library.
