RHODES STREET RESERVE

Sir,—The lack of patronage, of this reserve js explained by the fact that mere is no entrance. There has always been a conglomeration of derelict dishes, forms and paper litter from the school throughout the whole area. ThiS’ at least, has recently been remedied. The statement that the tennis court only was leased by the school may be correct-in theory but not in practice. No effort has ever been made by the reserves department to remedy the matter, and no entrance made of the 10 links frontage shown on the plan to the east of the school entrance. Why not a public auction or tenders if the area must be sold? — Yours, etc., NOISY MINORITY. August 30. 1954.
