She is a former Mayoress of Dunedin. t MAORI SEATS FOUR SOCIAL CREDIT CANDIDATES Four candidates have been selected by the New Zealand Social Credit Political League to contest the Maori seats at the General Election. The candidates, who were announced last evening by the Dominion secretary (Mr J. E. Colechin) are:— Mr Mahu Otene, of Auckland (Northern Maori). Mr Wilson Paku, of Masterton, (Eastern Maori). Mr Arapeta Awatere, of Wanganui (Western Maori). Mr Matenga Baker, of Palmerston North (Southern Maori).
